The Muse announced the acquisition of Purpose Jobs, a Detroit-founded community platform that is the largest startup and tech community in the Midwest. The acquisition expands The Muse's employer branding and talent attraction capabilities, particularly for public sector and Midwest employers.
The combined platforms — themuse.com, fairygodboss.com, and purpose.jobs — now attract 70 million annual users, primarily Gen Z and Millennial professionals. Founded by TJHSST alum Kathryn Minshew in 2011, The Muse has grown from a career advice blog into one of the largest career development platforms in the world.
