Indigo Surpasses 2 Million Metric Tons of Verified Soil Carbon Impact

Indigo Carbon announced its fifth U.S. carbon crop issuance, bringing total verified impact to over 2 million metric tons of carbon removals and reductions across U.S. croplands. The 1.1 million independently verified carbon credits were issued through the Climate Action Reserve under a protocol approved by the ICVCM.
This milestone represents a major validation for agriculture-based carbon credits in the voluntary carbon market. Since 2018, farmers participating in Indigo's carbon program have earned tens of millions of dollars for adopting regenerative practices, with Indigo now working with farmers across eight million acres.
